1. Australia-Serve Plum Pudding with a favor inside. The person who recieves it will get good luck. 
2. Finland-A Sheaf of grain is tied to a pole in the garden for birds to eat. Then after the birds have eaten-People will have thier dinners. 
3. France-Children leave thier shoes by the fireplace for Pere Noel. To be filled with candy and gifts. 
4.Greece-Preists sprinkle Holy water on houses to rid evil spirits 
5. Phillipines-Mass held hourly.

HOLIDAY MIXED BAG 
1. Christmas was once a moveble holiday like easter is now. 
2. December 25 was chosen to coincide with the Pagan Holiday of Solstice to over shadow that holiday. 
3. When the Gregorian calendar replaced the Julian Calender, the year lost 11 days. Thus pushing Christmas back. Today some releigions still celebrate Christmas on January 7. 
4. On December 23, in  oxana Mexico there is a raddish festival. The raddishes are carved to depict holiday scenes. 
5. In Italy a witch delivers presents to children.
