Just for the heck of it, I've assembled some predicitons for 1999. These are just predictions that I have pulled out of my hat and they may or may not happen. Political: 1. President Clinton will not be impeached or cencered, howeversome major scandal will rock the white housethat will couse Gore to fill in for a few days. 2. We will go to war with Iraq and Sadam Hussain will either die this time or surrender power. Unfortunatly thousands will perish in the event. 3. There will be a major terrorist act like the Oklahoma City bombing. Mother Nature: 4, A 6.0 or greater earthquake will hit a city or town on the west coast. 5. Scientists will have a steller year. Discovering more planets and solar systems than ever. However life elsewhere will not be discovered. 6. Weather and Hurricanes will be mild this year. Music: 7. Madonna will make a big announcement that will shock all(Don't worry it just means she is releasing a new album) 8. Alabama, Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, and the Rolling Stones will all break up. 9.The smoking gun will be found at the end of the year that will prove Kurt Cobain of Nirvana was murdered. 10. Tower Records will file bankruptcy 11. Abba will finally reunite and return to the studio at the end of the year. But it won't be until next year that an album will be released and they will not tour in support of it. People/Entertainment: 12. Liz Taylor, Paul Harvey, Tim Allen, Estelle Getty, John Travolta and Queen Elizabgeth will die. 13.The Star Wars prequal will be a flop 14. It will be a bad fall for Television shows. Seattle: 15. The kingdome will get two more years to live. Something will delay demolition. 16. The Bon Marche will become Macy's 17. The Boeing layoffs will not effect the economy. 18. The Monorail initiative will start rolling off the ground, but the entire route will be changed. Y2K: 19. The Y2K problem will be minimal. It will affect civic things but thats it. 20. There will be a money shortage due to y2K fears. |
