¡SEATTLE CITY COUNCIL DEALS ANOTHER BLOW TO THE CITIES
MUSIC INDUSTRY THAT IS IN THE MIDST OF TRYING TO RE-INVENT ITSELF.
¡NEW NOISE ORDINANCE PASSED!
Seattle City Council passed a new noise ordinance designed to lower noise pollution in the city. The ordinance states that a cop can issue a ticket to noice that is audible from 50 feet away in a residential neighborhood and 75 feet away in non residential neighborhoods. Many opponents of the ordinance say the law is too vague. The fine would be $100.00 for the first offence, $250.00 for the second offence and $500.00  and thirty days jail for the third offence. The law would effect the Music industry because clubs would have to lower their volumes. Five years agoa the city banned posters on lightpoles in Seattle. The new noise ordinance goes into effect in 30 days.
¡WEST COAST IS WRONG AID FOR RITE AID!
An inside source from the Rite Aid drugstore chain told a reporter from ¡DavE!'s Whirled Wide Web! That if the chain doesn't sell it's west coast stores by January, then the chain  would close stores. The stores most likely effected would be those that were left over from the Payless acquisition. The newer Rite Aid's would not be effected. Recently stock has been slowly going away from the stores. There are more empty shelves than their should be. In Everett Washington for example, one Rite Aid closed it's pharmacy while keeping the store open.
