| The Makah Indian Nation in north
West Washington State, Killed a migrating grey whale today. The whale was
harpooned shortly after 7:30a.m. PST. The Whale died and quickly sank to
the bottom. A tug boat brought it to shore where Makah's feasted on the
animal. Animal rights activists were saddened by the news. |

| It may be the last year for the
Northwest Folklife Festival. The Festival which runs from 28 May to 31
May at the Seattle Center, had to borrow money this year to support
itself. Check your local listings for times and performers. |

I don't know if it's something
in the air or what but all of my friends are acting weird and the kids
keep getting sick. Stefanie turned out to have a mild bout of pnumonia,
and Serena is starting to have some symptoms of when she went into the
hospital. Both of them felt well enough to go to the Street Fair on Sunday.
It was fun. We all had a blast. Well I am my kids dad so I'm going
to go pretend to be Dr. Laura with my crazy friends. See you next week.

OF THE WEEK |
| Well this week the Makah indian
reservation murdered a whale. They say it is for religeous prurposes. It
is a tradition that dates back some 100 years. I think this is barbaric.
If we let the Makah's kill a whale, then why not let human sacarfises be
next? Would we allow tribes to scalp people again? I don't think so. So
why is it ok to allow the Makah's to harpoon a whale? =-} |
