¡Winter is coming is your computer ready!
Just a friendly reminder, That this winter is going to be a bad one folks so make sure your computers are ready. Here is a checklist-
1. Make sure your computer is hooked up to a surge protector. Both for electrical and phone lines. This could save you money.
2. Back up all files monthly. If you do crash, it is a good idea to have back ups for when you restore.
3. Get a battery back up for your computer.
4. Get a surge protector for your phone lines too.
5. Most important, if the power does go out in your home. Unplug ALL appliances including your computer. That way when the power goes on, you won't have to worry about a power surge.
¡DavE!'s Whirled Wide Web will be on schedule as much as possible during the winter, however major power outages may delay publication.

¡Journal!
Dear Journal,
Allright! I got all of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving and made a huge dent in my Christmas Card!!! What will I do with all of that free time in December? Serena didn't have school this week because of parent-teacher conferences but on Tuesday she went in for a test to see where she is at right now and I'm proud to say that that little 4 year old is testing above where she should be. She passed most of the tests for age six! Well, I gotta get back to that Card, so see you next week.

"Jones Town Remembered"
Today, November 18, is the twentieth anniversary of the Jonestown Massacre in Guyana. For those who don't remember, Jim Jones and his followers were killed when they drank cyanide laced koolaid. This was the first and largest so far cult killings. I remember seeing the tragedy unfold on T.v. It was horrible watching it. I was just a kid. To me Guyana seemed like it was next door. It was really tragic. I remember hearing tales of how one lady who didn't drink the kool aid, pretended to be dead. I remember people who were escaping boarding the plane and getting shot. Over the years, we have had little reminders of this tragedy. The Branch Davidians, most recently. I'm sure they won't end though. This column was written for the few survivors of the Jonestown murders.=->
