¡The
Kingsmen Win Fight over Louie Louie!
¡Song is the unofficial
Washington State Song! |
| The suppreme court today ruled
in favor of the Kingsmen and granted the group 100% of the Royalties for
the song "louie louie" The group recorded the song in 1968 for Gusto Records
and signed a contract that would give the group 9% of all royalties to
the song. But Gusto records never paid anything to the Kingsmen. In 1993
the group sued. Gusto records was ordered to pay all royalties from the
song as of 1993 and ordered to hand over the masters. The suit gives the

Dear Journal,
Yay, I was so glad to findout that
Seattle Public Libraies passed thier bonds to build new libraries. Serena
continued to go to school. She doesn't like to go in the morning, but when
she is there she loves it. This week she made a friendship bracelet, and
played parachute ball in P.e. Darnit-she likes sports. I can't believe
it. On Saturday she went to the school's carnival and won lots of prizes.
Sunday we spent the day at a friends house and she played. On Monday I
went on a shopping spree and bought Serena some new clothes for school.
She looks really stylin now. Well until next week, happy surfing!!!

"Halloween is over, now it's
Chrismastime"
Well Halloween is over, and you
know what? Christmas has started. You can find lots of things in the stores
now for the Christas season. I myself have allready started buying decorations
and gifts. Wait a minute? wasn't there another holliday that came first?
Oh yeah that's right, Thanks Giving, The day we give thanks for what we
are greatful for. How could I forget. After all it is the day the pilgrims
broke bread with the indians so long ago. That's too bad. Maybe Thanks
Giving should be moved to August. After all there are no hollidays there.
