| ¡DavE!'s Whirled Wide Web
would like to take this opportunity to remember mother Teresa. This saint
helped the poor in so many ways. Sometimes just her presance would lift
people's spirits. So in honor of Mother Teresa, we suggest you should
pray, Light a candle in her honor, and most of all, help others like
she did. |
| ¡World's
Largest 'Manhattan' in Seattle on Wednesday! |
| The Union Square Grill is the place
to be on Wednesday from 5 to 8. That is when Ice Carver Kevin Roscoe will
create the World largest coctail glass. The bar will be serving appetisers
as well as giving compli- mentary Cigars. State laws prevent the bar from
giving out free drinks so the bar will be charging $3.00 per glass of Manhattan
served from the coctail glass. |

| Did you watch King Of The Hill?
Yeah I'm kind of mad that it wasn't on either. So far, This season seems
like nothing big to report about. I think starting next week, I'll turn
this column into a movie review instead. |

| ¡Journal! |
Dear Journal,
This week was pretty fun. First
I finally got the car. Boy is it ever great. It's like night and day difference
between the new car and the old one. On Sunday we went to the Jetty Island
in Everett and had a blast. Serena got to see Smokey the bear And got to
ride a boat also. On Monday we went to the evergreen state fair and we
saw the usual stuff, cows, pigs, 4 h etc. As well as went on rides
and played games. It was loads of fun. Well I have to finish the Page.
So see you next week!

This week"Political Organizations
that spend money on waste"
If there is one thing i can't stand,
it's when my hard earned money gets spent on waste. This week I visited
a stand for the RTA. The RTA is the Puget sound Regional Transit Authority.
It was passed by some voters back in 1996 to improve transportation in
the Puget Sound Region. I was not one of the voters who voted in favor
of it. Since it passed, I have been keeping tabs on the authority to see
what progress it has made. i am one of those who likes to get there
money's worth. I was pretty upset to find at their booth this year, Key
chains, fans, and pencils. While this may be inexpensive advertising, I
think it is money that could be better spent elswhere. I'm sure that the
RTA will be going into cost overruns etc. So shouldn't they be trying to
save money for a rainy day rather then have a "free Gift shop" The bottom
line is, the public's money should be sepnt as how the public has designated
it. Not for toys and trinkets=-) |
