Much
Ado About Nothing-I-5 Traffic Jams in Seattle, not as bad as earlier reported!
¡Huge backups have yet
to materialize but the worst is yet to come! |
| It was supposed to cause backups
for more than 20 miles, but a paving project on interstate five in Seattle
turned out to be not as bad. According to the Department of Transportation,
people have been taking alternative routes, carpooling and riding public
transportation in order to avoid the mess. The real test however is on
Monday, July 13. When there will be three major closures on I-5. |
| ¡Rare
Finds! - |
| Every second weekend in July, make
sure to go to green lake in Seattle. Because that is when they hold the
annual Seafair Milk Carton Derby. Contestants have to make a boat out of
Milk Cartons and then actually ride it in the water. Boats are usually
made up with some sort of theme. Last years favorite was a boat made up
to look like the titanic-And yes it actually sank! |

¡Hey There!
Well Serena had an eventful week
this week. On Monday, we were walking and she poked her eye really bad.
So we went to my hmo(90's for Hospital) and went to the Urgent Care Center(90's
for emergency room) Apparently she had scratched her cornea. So we had
to put eye drops in and luckily it healed overnight. Poor thing. I had
the great opportunity to meet a new net buddy from asia this week. And
hey, I may have a car too. It's being worked on right now! I finished a
song for my current collection that I will post on the net soon. It's tentatively
called "Thought you were gone" This week I worked on my page off-line a
lot. I hope to be uploading the changes this week.
Well Peace, Love, and Joy from

now for !'s opportunity to chip his teeth! |
| Litter, Garbage and paper were
all over the place this week. Why it wasn't a parade, it was left over
debris from the fourth of July. Walking down the street looked like you
stepped out of a war zone. I couldn't believe it. In my day , we were taught
to pick up our litter. On the fourth of July, we always picked up after
our selfves. It seems ludicrous to me that first of all we celebrate our
countries birthday by blowing it up, but second celebrate it by trashing
the place. You don't see people throw their valentines cards out on the
streets after Valentines day, or even their christmas trees out on the
street after christmas, so why is it ok to light fireworks and just leave
the debris on the ground? It only takes a couple of minutes to clean up,
by doing that, we can be proud of this country and keep singing America
The beautiful. |
