!Windows
98 released to little fanfare!
¡Retailers hold parties,
but release is a quiet one! |
| Windows 98 was quietly released
this week across the country. Retailers held midnight parties that included
bands, sale products, and computers for $98.00! Many agree however that
Windows 98 was not promoted as much as Windows 95. |
| ¡Aol
announces proposed Icq pricing! |
Aol announced it is proposing to
start charging to use Icq. Under the proposed pricing, Icq would cost $50.00
per year or $20.00 per every three months. Another proposal would charge
Aol users only for icq. Many Icq users are not happy about the proposal
to pay for something that has been free all this time. What is your opinion?
Write me and let me know. I would love to post the results at this
web site.
What's your opinion of icq's proposed
charges?
results will be posted online in
late July. |

It only happens once a year. Boom

boom city has over 115 stands selling nothing but Fireworks for your fourth
of July. With this many stands, you can find almost anything. Here's another
tip- shop around at each stand and compare prices before you purchase your

¡Hey There!
Well Serena and I started off the
week by going to the Pig Out at the Farm. I thought it was no big deal,
but she seemmed to like it. We also went to see the Total Experience Gospel
Choir. They are awesome. Not just any other choir, but a great group of
performers.
I played baseball for the first
time in years this week. It was fun, but it also reminded me that I need
to get back in shape.
I got the parade pictures back.
but unfortunately, the disk I ordered was blank so they have to redo it.
Well take care and as always,
Happy Surfing!

| ¡And
now for !'s opportunity to chip his teeth!-About the Latest and Greatest |
| Aaack! Not another new thing to
get for the computer. Windows 98. I just got used to Windows 95. Where
will it all end. I was fine with windows 3.0. But then came the latest
and greatest software. If A great piece of hardware or software,
has been developed, is it really necessary to improve it? The sick thing
is that I myself want the best. I want my computer workstation to be the
latest up to date system with all of the latest up to date bells and whistles.
But after I think of how much it will cost me to do that, I also remind
myself that in a few months that latest and greatest stuff I was going
to shell out my life savings for will be obsolete. And that's when I think
to myself that Windows 95 isn't that bad after all. |
