¡Muestra!-Introduction
About the songs.
Thank you for viewing my first online songbook called muestra. this is the first of three I hope to publish online. All of the songs here have been written in the past few years and come from the heart. I hope you enjoy, Although what you see here is not a fair representation of my work. That is because you only see the words and you don't get to hear the melodies that go with them. That is another site at another time though. So here are the descriptions. ¡Daddy's Little Girl!-When my daughter was born, I wanted to write something that expressed how I feel, yet something that I could give to her. So I came up with Daddy's little Girl. It is my best song that I have written. The version you see here is not the same as the one that I first released. That is because I came to the conclusion that since i wrote the song for Serena, it is hers and no one else's. So I changed the words a little and released this version to the public. I do have the original version published in one of my Christmas cards to the lucky 30 people who got one that year. ¡When I was Two! -Having a child makes you feel old sometimes, so this song i wrote one day after i realized that i was now an adult. I wish i was still two. ¡Andy Gibb With A Bad Haircut! -This song was inspired by the group bong water and is my tribute to kurt kobain of nirvana. I wrote this song one day after i realized that he was no longer with us. I did it because I felt kind of bad that I didn't even cry when he died yet he had such a big impact on my life and changed the music i listen to. So this is kind of a tongue and cheek perspective on him and my experience in the music business. ¡In Memory Of Myself! -Oh boy, this is the most controversial thing i have ever written. I put this in my Christmas card one year and everyone thought it was a suicide note! Far from it. I created this poem in honor of Dia De Los Muertos. The Day of the Dead. It is a mexican celebration that celebrates the dead. So there you have it folks! Muestra, the songs. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think. By the way for those who want to know, Muestra is spanish for samples. Muestra
