1. Florizel Street and Jubilee Street were both considered as original Names for the show 2. The first episode premiered on December 9th 1960 and was in Black and white. It did not go color until November 1969. 3. Critics thought the show would not last past the first year 4. Both the Queen of England and Prince Charles have visited the Set of Coronation Street. 5. William Roache has been playing the character Ken Barlow without a break since the first episode and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for this. 6. Coronation street also earned a record as the longes running Television Drama. |
