Seattle's world's fair was about science and how things would be in the future. Here are some things that were predicted in the future in 1962.

The House of the future...
According to Century 21, the house of the future would have A one unit utility core that supplies the heating, plumbing and wiring and automatic climate control. The house would have a built in Vaccum system that would keep the house free of dust.
Furnature would be lightweight foamed plastics. Dishes would be disposable.
The home's color scheme could change at the flick of the switch.

Transportation
Commuters would commute by a gyrocopter which takes off from a provate heleport. Or take a monorail which would be the transportation system of the future.
General Motors had a car called the Firebird III. This car had no steerling wheel and was controlled by a control stick. It is also guided by a safety cable that would have been imbedded in the road. 

Agriculture
Farms would be covered in plastic domes that could be climate controlled and placed anywhere in the world.

Communications
In the future man will yearn for knowledge. This will be satisfied by Vast powerhouses of information. to be sent by electronics and shared by all(internet)

Telephones of the future include pushbutton telephones which may replace the dial.
