Welcome all Naturalists! Well I bet you never thought.... People it's true, I ¡DavE! do partake in clothing optional recreation. I have been doing this since 1986. So why am I telling the world about it? Well mainly because July is the National Clothing Optional Recreation month. And that's the only reason. Also I must warn you that all of the sites I have linked, are NOT, I repeat, NOT porn sites and include no nudity. So if you are looking for that, please go to our On the Dot page and type sex in the Hotbot Search engine. On that note, I must also take the time to mention, that because I like this lifestyle, it doesn't mean i'm a sicko, gay, bi or anything else like that. I am also not naked 24/7. This is typical of any Naturist. So get over it. No for the good stuff. I must recommend that eveyone try this at least once in thier lifetime. First get over how bad your body looks at the beach if that is your fear. I'm not a god either. And that's not what you are there for. You are there to be at one with Earth. It's actually therepudic. Second, you are not a nudist but a naturist. Third pick a legal spot! Fourth, if you find a spot that you think is legal but is not, remember this, public nudity is legal in Washington state as long as you are not being obscene. Last and Most of all. Relax and have fun!

¡DavE!'s Rules to go by at the Clothing Optional Recreation area. 1. Don't Ever Gawk! It's rude and you can be kicked out of landed clubs for this!
2. If you pack it in, Pack it out. Take care of Mother earth. This includes beer cans and cigarettes.
3. Do not have sex. You're in the wrong place for that.
4. Making friends is ok, however do this only if the other person appears to be willing to make friends. Also I suggest only meeting in Numbers.
5. Do not use cameras or video equipment. Even with permission it can only lead to problems.
6. Have Fun and explore the beach, but leave all shells and animals there. Would you want a giant to pick you up and move you somewhere else?

¡About ¡DavE!'s first experience! My first experience was in July of 1996. I was in Portland on vacation and heard about the Sauvies Island recreational area. I drove to the end of the island and came to a dirt road. I noticed that there were cars parked on the road. I went down to investigate. You couldn't see the beach from the road. There was a sign that said "Entering Clothing Optional Recreation Area" I decided to check it out. Well I walked past the sign and to the beach and sure enough everyone was without clothes. This made me feel uncomfortable becuase I was weaering all of mine. I thought when in Rome, do as the Romans do and decided to bare all. Man what a fun and refreshing experience that was. Normally at a beach I just sun tan but I went swimming in the river that day. It was really refreshing and relaxing and releived a lot of stress. I would recommend it to everyone!

¡Definitions for those who don't know! Clothing Optional-This means that Clothing is an option. It is not required to take your clothes off.
Clothes Free-It is required to take your clothes off
Naturist-Someone who practices the art of a clothing optional or clothes free lifestyle.
Nudist-The Un Politically Correct version of the definitions above
Landed Clubs-These are naturist clubs that have a perminant site to go to.
Non-landed Clubs-These are naturist clubs that roam around to different places. They don't have a perminant home to go to.

Vancouver BC, Canada	P	G	Maps	This is one of the worlds largest legal public clothing optional beaches. This beach is so big that they have clothing otpional vendors and police men! You can also find Gambling casinos on the beach. The only bad thing is the beach parking is minimal but it's well worth the trip once in a while. Be sure to check the website for upcoming events.
¡ T E D D Y B E A R C O V E A T C L A Y T O N B A Y !
Bellingham, Wa	L	U	E	I visited this beach once back in August of 1998. Not much really here. It's hard to tell where the clothing optional beach is exactly. Also very dangerous. in fact it is right next to railroad tracks. If you go don't park anywhere on Chakanaut drive, You will get a ticket. Even if everyone else is. There is a parking lot at Larrabee state park, but it is quite a hike to the site and you should consider taking a day trip to visit here.
Double Bluff Beach
Clinton, Wa	O	U	E	I visited this beach in August of 1997. From the public Double Bluff beach, walk north until you hit the 100 foot cliffs. It is a pretty tough walk through the sand. It's also pretty secluded and by the water. Be carefull this is not exactly a designated clothing optional area.
¡ T R I A N G L E R E C R E A T I O N C A M P !
Silverton, Wa	P	P	Maps	Allthough this campground is mostly of Gay and Lesbian clientelle, All are welcome. The drawback is that you have to pay a fee to get in. The great thing is it is located on the river. So it is a little different from your regular place. Clothing is definatly an option here and those who wish to keep clothes on are welcome as long as they don't gawk. If you are planning to go here, make sure to pay attention to the mountain weather forcasts since this site is right next to the mountians it tends to get a little cool at times.
Point Wells
Edmonds, Wa	L	P	E	I highly do not recommend this site. The first thing is that you have to access the place by low tide or the railroad tracks. It just isn't worth it folks. In addition this place is busted regularly by the Burlington Northern company since they own the land.
Collins Beach
Portland, Or	P	G	E	This is one of my favorite sites. It's all Legal! Make sure that you get a parking permit before you go. There is a little store on Sauvie Island that sell them. Then head to the north end of Sauvie Island and you will find the beach. The sand is awesome and you can even swim in the Columbia river. It is the ultimate Clothing optional experience. The beach is huge as well and even on a packed day, doesn't seem crowded. If you have never gone Clothing optional before, make this beach your first.
Rooster Rock State Park
Troutdale, Or	P	G	E	As legend has it, this Clothing optional area was willed to the state on the condition that it remain Clothing Optional. You have to get a parking pass but they are available at the gate to Rooster Rock. This is another cool place to go. Not only is there a beach but also trails in the forest.

Northwest Landed Clubs

This club is located in the Snoqualmie forest east of Issaquah. This is the most famous of the northwest landed clubs. This is the club that puts on Nudestock and the Bare buns fun run each year.

Here is another great club located in east of Mount Vernon. This club is friendly on first time visitors and has events like a weekend music festival and Naturist festival.
