ARE THEY NOW???
So where is ABBA today and what are there members doing? Well here is the most current scoop. First of all Frida divorced Benny in 1981 and ended up marrying a prince making her a princess. Frida has released a couple of albums in her native Sweden but has kept low profile in recent years. Tragedy did hit Sweden a year ago when her daughter was killed in a car Accident. Also soon after, Frida's husband the prince also died. As for Agnetha, the press has been reporting for years that the singer was music's version of Greta Garbo. This just isn't so and Agnetha recently published her Bigofraphy. Agnetha is currently working on a new album possibly for American release. As for Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, the two have been keeping busy. In 1996 they debuted their latest work "Kristina from Duvemala" Which is a story about Swedes immigrating to the United States. The two are also working on a collection of pop songs. However, they won't be recording as ABBA or with the girls, they will be recording with Elaine Page and Barbara Dickerson. Both whom appeared on the Chess soundtrack. As for the reunion information, ABBA did actually reunite in June of 1999. The four got together at a birthday party of a mutual friend. The four sang the song "With a simple little Tulip" Which is a traditional Swedish birthday song. In February of the year 2000, the group was offered 1 billion dollars to reunite and tour however, the group turned them down saying that ABBA is over and done with. But you never know... |
