A thinking
man's game...

Our scene opens at Charlene's where Rusty
and Charlene have just discovered their terrible mess-up. "That car door
was Caleb. He caught us" Said Rusty. He put his head in his hands.
"I fucked up big time" Said Rusty
"No" Said Charlene " I was the one who fucked up. I shouldn't have
left the blinds open"
"Wait a minute" said Rusty "all you care about is weather you left
the blinds open? What about Caleb"
"Caleb and I were done and over with months ago. I told him" said Charlene
"If he can't handle it, that's his problem"
"Charlene, I am his best friend and you are his ex who he still loves"
said Rusty "What we did was uncool"
"Caleb will get over it." Said Charlene "Besides, maybe this will snap
him out of loving me"
"I'm going to go get him" Said Rusty
"Fine" said Charlene "But he isn't going to want to see you or me ever
again. I can promise that. So you are just wasting your time."
Rusty got up and left. |

Meanwhile in Caleb's car... Caleb couldn't believe what he saw. Rusty
and Charlene in bed together. It felt like his world had fallen apart.
He needed to talk to someone desperately. He stopped the car and went to
a phone booth. He called the one person he knew who can help him. Celeste.
"Celeste is not able to come to the phone right now. Please leave your
message after the beep.[Beeep...]"
Celeste, it's caleb" Caleb said in a depressed voice and tears" I need
to talk to you, something bad has happened. I'm going to be over there
soon." He got in the car and headed out to Celeste's. |

Meanwhile... Celeste wasn't there. She was in the car with the person
who knocked on her door earlier.
"Everyone is going to shit when they see you Mikah."
"I know" he said "I decided to stay here the summer. My exchange parents
said I can stay at their house"
"Damm" said Celeste "Caleb is going to flip when he sees up"
"So what's the deal?" Said Mikah "Did Charlene and him get back together?"
"Well" Said Celeste "He's just going over there to talk as a friend
or so he says. But I have a feeling that I'll need to help him pick up
the pieces tomorrow." |

Meanwhile Velma was at her house getting ready to head out to chita's
with Kjercia when she got a call.
"Hello" said Velma
"Velma" said the voice "it's Rusty"
"Hey what's up" She said
"I need a huge favor" he said
"Well I'm on my way to Chita's to meet kjercia "She said
"Velma I'm stuck in Everett" Said Rusty "Can you pick me up? I need
to find Caleb"
"WEll I suppose" Said Velma "I'll pick you up in a few" |

When Caleb got to Celeste's no one was home. "Damm" He thought "I just
left her here an hour ago. Where the hell is she?"
Caleb got in the car. "Maybe she went to Chita's?" He decided to drive
over there. Caleb hoped he wouldn't run into anyone he knew. He wasn't
up to talk to people tonight. |

Meanwhile, Celeste and Mikah were at Charlene's doorstep. Charlene
opened the door and looked quite shocked.
"you know what?" Said Charlene "I don't want any trouble"
Celeste paused "I'm not here to cause trouble Charlene. Caleb said
he was coming here earlier tonight and I wanted to see him because Mikah
back. WE wanted to surprise him."
"Oh." Charlene Paused "Well I haven't seen him all night. I wish I
could visit but I have a call on the phone and it's long distance."
"That's strange" said Celeste "Well if he show's up will you tell him
to call me asap."
"Sure" Said Charlene. She shut the door. "Oh god what mess have I created
now." |

Just down the street Velma was picking up Rusty
"So what's the emergency" said Velma "And what happened to you?"
"I fell" Said Rusty "And I did something really bad"
"What?" Said Velma
"Charlene and I slept together"
Velma stopped the car and looked at Rusty
"You Fucking asshole" She said with a chill in her voice "you don't
do that to your friends."
"I know" said Rusty "I feel like shit. But it get's worse."
"What could be worse than that?" Asked Velma
"Caleb Caught us in the act." Said Rusty "And Now I'm worried about
him."
Velma was dumbfounded and ecstatic at the same time. If Caleb caught
charlene and Rusty in Bed, Caleb will need someone to go to and hopefully
it would be her.
"ok" Said Velma "You are lucky I don't make you get out and walk. But
you are right. We need to find Caleb. But it wouldn't surprise me if he
kicked your ass"
"I wouldn't blame him if he did" said Rusty.
Velma started the car. "Lets go over to Chitas and see if he's there" |

Meanwhile at Chita's...
Kjercia was looking at her watch. "God dammit. Where the hell is Velma.
This place is dead tonight. No one is here" She saw Caleb walk in.
"Hi honey" She said to CAleb
Caleb looked like hell. "Hey" he muttered "have you seen Celeste?"
"No" Said Kjercia "what's wrong"
"I need a hug" Said Caleb
Kjercia hugged him. "Lets go upstairs and talk about it." Said Kjercia
Just as they walked upstairs, Mikah and Celeste walked in.
"I swear that is CAleb's car outside" Said Celeste "YOu sure you didn't
see him in the bathroom over at the pie shop?"
"There was no one in the bathroom" Said Mikah "Maybe he went to the
gas station to get Cigarette's before he came here"
"Well lets go look for him" Said Celeste
They went upstairs. Celeste notice Caleb crying in Kjercia's arms.
"Oh Mikah" Said Celeste "Something bad has happened."
"Caleb" said Celeste "What's going on"
Caleb looked up. He saw Mikah
"Oh my god" Said Caleb "you are back"
Celeste hugged CAleb. Caleb started to sob. He looked at Celeste then
Mikah. "Look guys, I'm sorry I'm like this but I caught Charlene and Rusty
red handed tonight. They were having sex."
Celeste was incensed "That fucking bitch!!!" Celeste thought of what
caleb told her about Rusty last night. "Oh Caleb, I am so sorry"
"It's ok" said Caleb. "YOu were right."
"You know she fucking lied to us tonight" Said Celeste
"What do you mean Celeste" Ask Caleb
"We just went over there to see if you were there to surprise you.
She said she never even saw you tonight. That's probably why she wanted
us to leave too. I bet Rusty was there too."
"Celeste she didn't lie to you about seeing me." Said Caleb
Celeste was confused "Then how do you know they had sex?"
"When I got there tonight the curtains were open. I saw the two of
them on the couch naked and kissing." Said Caleb
"YOu mean to tell me that they were having sex with the whole world
to see?" Asked a shocked Celeste
"Yes." Said Caleb
"Mikah" Said Celeste "I'm going over there to kick some ass right now."
"No" Said Caleb "I need you here."
Just as he said that Velma walked up.
Caleb suddenly felt like a fool. Here his tribe of true friends were
here and he was crying in front of them.
"hey" Said Caleb "As you can see I'm having a bad night."
"I know the whole story" Said Velma
"How?" said Caleb
"Rusty is outside" Said Velma "He wants to talk to you"
Celeste started walking towards the stairs.
"Celeste Where are you going?" Asked Caleb
"Rusty is fucked" She said
"No" Yelled Caleb "I need to take care of this"
She stopped. "Caleb I'm pissed. He is not going to do this to you and
get away with it. "
"He won't but I need to be the one to chew him out. I need to get this
off of my chest." said Caleb
"Ok" said Celeste "IF you need us we will be here."
Caleb got up and walked downstairs.
"I can't believe this" Said Celeste
"Well" Said Velma "If anyone wants to take a number for kicking Rusty's
ass, get in line behind Celeste." |

Caleb was nervous as he headed down those
stairs and confused. Was he upset because Rusty Fucked Charlene because
Caleb wanted her for himself? Or was he confused because he wanted Rusty
for himself and was really mad at Celeste. He got outside. Rusty was not
in site.
"Hey Caleb" Shouted Rusty from Velma's car
Caleb looked over at Velma's car. Rusty was in it. He had a black eye.
He looked like he had been crying but smiled at Caleb like he always does.
"Wow" Thought Caleb "I wonder if Velma Clocked him."
He walked over to the car and got in. "So what's up Bud?" Asked Rusty" |
