Avoiding Caleb

"A father..." Caleb thought on his way to
meet Celeste and Mikah for dinner. "Charlene would make the perfect wife"
Mikah was waiting when he pulled up.
"Hey Mikah" Said Caleb "Where's Celeste?"
"She's on her way" Said Mikah
"She's probably doing her hair "Said Caleb "Hey, I have a question
for you"
"What?"
"I had sex last night" said caleb "for the first time"
"Cool" Said Mikah "I'm happy for you"
"There's Just one thing" Said Caleb "The condom broke"
Mikah showed concern "oh my"
"Yeah and I have a feeling she will be pregnant" said Caleb
"It doesn't look like it will bother you" said Mikah
"Secretly" said Caleb "I am hoping it will happen. I, I know I love
her"
"Does she feel the same about you? " Asked Mikah
Caleb thought for a minute. "I don't think so, I guess I'm not really
sure"
"Caleb, I like you, don't get hurt" said Mikah "That reminds me, I
have something to tell you"
"Really?" said Caleb
"Celeste and I talked last night about the future" said Mikah
"And" said caleb
"I'm going to come back for her" Said Mikah "she means so much to me"
"Oh that's wonderful" said Caleb "YOu are the first boyfriend of her's
that I actually like but most importantly, she likes you alot too"
"Speak of the devil" said Mikah "here's celeste now" |

Charlene couldn't stop thinking of last night. She needed advice
and she needed it soon. Luckily her sister Debbie had stopped by...
"So what's new?" Said Debbie
"Well" said Charlene "I fucked a guy last night"
"Oh Cool" said Debbie "It's about time you jumped to our side of
the fence"
"Well" Said Charlene "The condom broke and I don't think it concerned
him too much"
"Yikes" said Debbie "So you mean that he is head over heals?"
"Yes" said Charlene "But I don't feel the same way about him."
"Then why did you do it Charlene?"
"Because He's a good friend and he was still a virgin"
"God Charlene you're fucking with his life, you know how your first
is, It's someone you always have a crush on."
"Look" Said Charlene "I feel bad enough allready...In fact I am
glad you came over because I have a question for you."
"Ok Hit me with it" Said Debbie Concerned
"I need a Job" said Charlene
"wait" said Debbie "I thought you were working at Joker's Wild"
"I am" said Charlene "But Caleb works there, and I want to distance
myself from him. Especially if it turns out I'm not pregnant"
"Charlene that's crazy" said Debbie
"Look" said Charlene "I really like Caleb and I'm sorry but I know
he wants more and I can't give it to him. I like women too much."
"God" said Debbie "I'll see what I can do. What are you going to
do if you are pregnant?"
"I will cross that bridge when I come to it" Said Charlene |

Velma had been going crazy all day with thoughts about what went on
last night between Charlene and Caleb. She had to find out and there was
only one way. She went back to the dart shoot to see Rusty.
"Hey Velma" Said Rusty
"Got time to talk?" asked Velma
"Sure" said Rusty "I'm in between plays"
"So how are you doing are you kicking but?" asked Velma
"Velma" said Rusty "You didn't come all the way here to find out how
I was playing"
"Your right" Said Velma "Look I'm sorry about last night. Please don't
tell Caleb"
"I haven't even seen Caleb."
"oh" Said a disappointed Velma "I was wondering if you had heard anything"
"No" said Rusty "Besides, it's really up to him to tell you, but i'm
sure if he and Charlene did anything, the entire world would know."
"Do you think I have a chance with him?" Said Velma
"Look Caleb's a great guy" explained Rusty "He's got a good head on
his shoulders and he's smart and good looking. I look up to him alot. But
I think He thinks of you as a friend and even if he didn't, he's so smitten
over Charlene that miss America could walk in and he wouldn't notice."
"OK." said Velma "Maybe I will lay low for a while, but that's too
hard. Maybe I will avoid him."
"Nah" said Rusty "he'll no something's up. Just find someone else.
Hey My next shoot is starting and so far I'm in the lead."
"Oh I'll let you go" Said Velma "Maybe I should give him a call" |

Back at the restaurant...
"So Mikah and I have been talking" Caleb said to Celeste
"Oh" Said Celeste "Have a good prom night?"
"Better than if I went to the prom" said Caleb
"He got lucky" said Mikah
Celeste's face lit up "Oh my god" she exclaimed "I'm so happy for you
was it Charlene?"
"Duh" Said Mikah
Caleb smiled at Mikah and looked at Celeste "There's just one thing"
"what?" asked Celeste
"Well I may become a father" Said Caleb
Celeste was confused "Didn't you use a condom?"
"Yes" said Caleb "But it broke"
Celeste wasn't happy about this anymore. She could see by the glow
on Caleb's face that he was glowing and she didn't like the fact that Charlene
had no love interest in Caleb. Not knowing what to say Celeste said "Look
Caleb, chances are that she won't be, besides you're only 18, you have
your whole life in front of you."
"True" said Caleb "But I know for a fact that Charlene is the one I
want to be with for the rest of my life.
"Well you never know" said Celeste "YOu and Charlene may have a future
together."
"Hey will you guys excuse me for a moment, I'm going to go call Charlene
and see if she will join us."
Caleb left. Mikah could see that Celeste was not happy.
"Dammit" she whispered under her breath
"What's wrong" said Mikah "Your tone changed when Caleb said that the
condom broke"
"I just wish he wasn't so in love with her" said Celeste
"Why" Said Mikah
"Because he is going to get hurt" Said Celeste
"How do you know" Said Mikah "Maybe they are in love with each other."
"I highly doubt that she feels the same way about him"
"Why do you say that?" said Mikah
Caleb came back. "Well she wasn't home" Said Caleb. "Her sister said
that she went to work."
Celeste exchanged looks with Mikah. "You guys don't mind if I leave
do you? I want to go see her really bad."
"No we don't mind" Said Celeste "Tell Charlene I said Hi"
Caleb left.
"I still don't understand this" said Mikah
"About a month ago, Caleb was pretty smitten with Charlene then." said
Celeste
"Yeah" said Mikah
"She had sex with his friend Rusty" said Celeste
"How do you know?" Said Mikah
"Because I was there" said Celeste "She also had sex with me." |

Caleb felt that something wasn't right when he got to the mall. Something
was missing. He went into the Joker's Wild and looked around. Dawna was
there.
"Hey Dawna" said Caleb "Where's Charlene"
Dawna had a concerned look on her face. "Well doll face" Said Dawna
"She quit tonight"
"What?" exclaimed Caleb
"You just missed her" she said "She got a job with her sister"
"OH man" Said Caleb "That sucks"
"Welcome to the world of Retail" Said Dawna
"Hey can I use the phone for a sec, I'm want to call her and see what's
up." Said Caleb
"Well hon" Said Dawna "She's staying the weekend with her sister."
"Oh" Said Caleb "Any reason why?"
"No" Said Dawna "But you know what Doll face? She definitely wasn't
herself tonight."
"Ok well" said Caleb "I'm going to get going. I'll see you Monday"
"Bye Doll face" She said "If I hear from her, I'll have her call you"
"Ok" said Caleb "See you later Dawna"
As Caleb was walking out, he knew what this meant. Charlene must think
she is pregnant. But why was she avoiding Caleb. Back inside the store,
Dawna headed back toward the back room and opened the door.
"He's gone" Said Dawna
"That was Close" Said Charlene "See what I mean"
"I know" Said Dawna "Want me to talk to him?"
"No" said Charlene "That wouldn't be right. I got to do this on my
own. I just can't right now."
"I understand" Said Dawna "I guess we can talk more about this later,
I better get back to work" |
