So little time

Too
much to do, so little time. Thought Caleb as he was walking up to Charlene's
house. Charlene had just moved into a new house and was halving a housewarming
party. Caleb was also thinking about what to get Charlene for Christmas.
Caleb knocked on the door. A woman who was not Charlene opened the door.
"Hello" said the woman
"Uh" said a stunned Caleb
"I must have the wrong apartment"
"are you caleb?"
"Yes"
"come in, I'm Charlene's
roommate Rhanda"
Caleb walked inside the
house. "Glad to meet you Rhanda" said Caleb.
Charlene walked out and
embrace Rhanda with a hug. Caleb's heart sank.
"So, what do you want
to do tonight?" Asked Caleb
"There's a movie playing
at the mall" said Charlene "Let's go see it"
"Sure" said Caleb. However
Caleb wouldn't be thinking about the movie. He would be thinking about
Charlene and Rhanda. |

Meanwhile, Kjercia was
back at home.
"Kjercia" said Kjercia's
mom Barbara "Get me a beer"
"Get it yourself" said
Kjercia
Kjercia was not in a
good mood. Hanging out with Denise and Debbie had worn thin on her nerves.
She had to talk to Caleb though. It was important. She decided to play
nice.
"Here" said Kjercia handing
her mom a beer. "I want to go see Caleb tonight"
"I want you home here"
said her mom "you've been out too much lately"
"But mom it's Saturday
night" said Kjercia
"Kjercia, you and me
are going to plan Christmas tonight remember?"
"Mom we have all week
to do that"
"Kjercia, Christmas is
this week" we need to make plans
"Fine" Said an upset
Kjercia. "Can I at least go make a phone call?"
"I suppose" said Barbara
Kjercia went to call
Caleb. The machine answered. "Hey Caleb" whispered Kjercia "I need to talk
to you tonight. Call me when you get home" Kjercia hung up the phone. "As
soon as my mom passes out I'm outta here." She thought. Kjercia didn't
have to wait long. When she returned to the living room her mom was passed
out. And out the door was Kjercia. |

Meanwhile Celeste and
Rusty decided to go have coffee and talk about Bob and Caleb.
"So how's Bob taking
the breakup" said Celeste
"I don't know" Said Rusty
"I haven't been there for a month. My dad's a prick and I moved out"
"Really" said Celeste
" I never knew. Where are you staying?"
"Caleb's" said Rusty
"He's on a date with Charlene right now. He's going to pick me up afterwards"
"Yes" said Celeste "I
wonder how it's going. You know, I hope he isn't making a mistake with
Charlene"
"Why do you say that"
Said Rusty
"Because she is bisexual"
said Celeste "I mean I don't want him to get hurt"
"I think he is head over
heals with her" said Rusty
"Yes I think so" said
Celeste "Hey isn't that Kjercia over there?"
It was Kjercia and she
was heading over to the table where Rusty and Celeste were.
"Hi guys" said Kjercia
"have you seen Caleb? I really need to talk to him"
"He's on a date but he
is picking me up here tonight" said Rusty "What's going on?"
"I... I ... Think I'm
pregnant" Said Kjercia
Celeste and Rusty were

Meanwhile Caleb was driving
Charlene home...
"So you haven't said
much tonight" Said Charlene "Is something wrong?"
"No, just kind of worried
about getting stuff done for the holidays" said Caleb
"Well I was wondering
why you didn't say anything about Rhanda?" said Charlene
Caleb was now wondering
what kind of nut he fell in love with. "Well" said Caleb "I think it's
pretty obvious that you two are more than just roommates" wow did he just
say that?
"It's true we are lovers"
said Charlene "I love black women"
"well I'm happy for you"
said Caleb
"Well don't be" said
Charlene "It's not as glorious as it looks. Rhanda will only go so far.
She has a boyfriend"
"What does that mean?"
asked Caleb
"I really want Rhanda
but she doesn't lean that way" explained charlene "she's more straight"
"Yay!!!!!!" thought Caleb
to himself. Caleb kept his composure. He didn't want Charlene to think
he was happy that she didn't have a chance with Rhanda
"Also she is totally
a bible thumper" Said Charlene
This was music to Caleb's
ears. However he couldn't change his mood or else the cat would be out
of the bag.
"Well you never know"
said Caleb "Maybe she will come around" Caleb couldn't believe he said
that. Who had taken over his brain?
"Well we are here" said
Caleb "What are you doing for the holidays?"
"Going to my parents"
said Charlene
"Me too" Said caleb "Charlene,
I hope you have a Merry Christmas"
"You too Caleb" said
charlene
"Charlene I have something
for you" said Caleb. He leaned over and kissed her on the lips. It was
a long sweet kiss. Caleb loved to touch Charlene. Her skin was soft and
smelled a fresh spring day.
"Talk to you later Caleb"
said Charlene. She got out of the car and had a smile on her face that
looked like she just stole a cookie out of the cookie jar. Caleb Loved
that smile... |

Back at the coffee shop...
"So what makes you think
you are pregnant?" asked Celeste
"I am way late with my
period" said Kjercia
"Wow what are you going
to do?" Asked Celeste
"I don't know" Said Kjercia
"Wait a minute" said
Rusty "Is this Caleb's baby?"
"Please" said Celeste
"I just need to talk to him about it"
"well here's your chance"
said Celeste as Caleb was strolling in.
"Hey guys" said an overly
cheerful Caleb "What's up?"
"Kjercia definitely needs
to talk to you" said Celeste
"Caleb, I think I'm pregnant"
said Kjercia
"Your Kidding" said a
shocked Caleb "HOw did that happen?"
"Well if you don't know
that Cabe" said Celeste Jokeingly "Maybe you should go back to Kindergarten"
"I missed my period"
said Celeste " I want to know if you can take me to the doctor's next week"
"definitely" said Caleb
"Where is it?"
"Planned Parenthood"
said Kjercia
"Wait a minute" said
Celeste "You aren't thinking of getting an abortion?"
"So what if she is?"
said Caleb "IT's her choice"
Celeste shot Caleb a
look from hell "It's a life Caleb"
"yes but..."
Kjercia interrupted "If
I'm pregnant I want to have the baby. Planned Parenthood also has pregnancy
tests for those who don't have a doctor"
"I have one question"
asked Rusty "Who is the father?"
"Well" Kjercia paused
"The father..." |
